Community Guidlines

We want Artpic to be a platform for art, creativity, inspiration, and expression. We highly value the freedom of artistic expression and want Artpic to be as free as possible, but we also have to respect the law and ensure that Artpic stays a safe and nice place to hang around.

This is why we ask you to follow these Guidelines. By using Artpic, you agree to them. Not following them may result in deleted content, disabled accounts, or other restrictions.

We understand that in some cases, it is not easy to determine if some content is still OK or not and it is often a subjective decision. We use automatic (AI-based) tools as well as a manual review to determine if posts comply with these Guidelines. We do our best to be as fair as possible and allow as diverse content as possible, but occasionally some content may be prohibited even if you believe it is compliant with these Guidelines.

We reserve the right to delete, disable or restrict the content or users at our discretion, particularly where we believe it is necessary to enforce these Guidelines.

1. What you should and should not post

  • Share only content that is artistic in nature that you created yourself or have the right to post.

Artpic is about art and although there can be no clear definition of what art is, please use your common sense to post content that fosters art and is relevant to other users. This can be photos of your paintings, sketches, or other artworks, artistic photos and digital art, or short speed-paint videos.

We do not require standards of skill or quality, but we encourage you to post your best works. Please use hashtags (automatic and custom) and categories (medium and topic) appropriately so that others can find your work quickly. We reserve the right to delete or disable hashtags or move your content into a different category at our discretion.

Remember to post authentic content that you have created or have the right to post. Don’t infringe on anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

The best way to avoid infringing on the rights of another artist is to use your skill, talent, and imagination to create your own completely original work. It doesn’t mean that you must come up with an idea that hasn't been used before. It means that you created your work without deliberately copying anyone else's work. Ensure that all parts of your work, both visual and audio, are your own original creations. If you have used materials that are owned by others, make certain that you have obtained proper permission or licensing for the use before you place your work online.

  • Post photos and videos that are appropriate for a diverse audience.

We welcome artistic nudity, but not pornography. Pornographic or obscene content is not allowed.

Avoid nude or partially nude children or minors in your content. Don`t post works with sexual content involving minors or intimate images of others.

Don’t post disturbing content that can evoke feelings of aversion and disgust like violence, cruelty, and injuries.

Artpic isn’t a place for content that displays, rationalizes, or encourages suicide, self-injury, or substance abuse.

  • Foster meaningful and genuine interactions.

Avoid posting repetitive comments or content, collecting artificially likes or followers, and contacting people for commercial purposes without their consent. Help us stay spam-free.

You can use Artpic to promote yourself as an artist and sell your artwork. Promoting, advertising, and selling other, non-art-related products and services is not allowed.

Don't impersonate others and don't create accounts for the purpose of violating our guidelines or misleading others.

  • Follow the law and respect others.

Don’t support terrorism, organized crime, or hate in your content or anywhere on the platform.

Avoid content that contains threats or hate speech, content that targets private individuals to shame, blackmail, or harass them. Comments which are overly aggressive, personally insulting, or needlessly abusive are also prohibited.

Remember not to encourage violence or attack anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases.

Avoid posting conspiracy theories, misinformation, or false or misleading content.

2. Help us keep Artpic safe

If you see something that you think may violate our guidelines, please help us by using our reporting option. We will review the report as quickly as possible and remove content that doesn't meet our Guidelines.

You may find content that you don't like, but that doesn't violate these Guidelines. In that case, please do not report the content but use the options like unfollowing the person who posted the content you don`t like.
